About Chicago Area Veterans Forum
The Chicago Area Veterans Forum (CAVF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the Chicago area community by providing assistance and support to veterans, seniors, youth, and formerly-incarcerated individuals. We aim to create a community of optimism, inclusion and freedom from violence by focusing on health and wellness, job creation, food security, and growth.
CAVF was started by Carlos Redmond and Calvin Perry started the Chicago Area Veteran Forum in 2019 with the vision of helping to connect veterans with resources that provide lifelong benefits as they reintegrated into civilian life.
Carlos, a US Army veteran, directs CAVF and has expanded its mission to assist a variety of community members with securing the assistance and skills they need in order to thrive. Carlos considers CAVF's mission as an extension of his service's commitment to protect and defend people in need. We are proud to serve the people of Chicago and excited to grow our mission in the future.
